192 students joined the 21st provincial youth informatics contest  2020

 BTO- The 21st version of the provincial youth informatics contest took place on June 7, with the participation of 192 contestants from 10 districts/city/town in Binh Thuan province.

The competition, co-organized by Binh Thuan departments of Education & Training, Science &Technology, Information & Communications, and Finance, Binh Thuan Radio &Television Station, consists of 2 rounds, with the qualification round held online. Contestants were divided into 3 groups: group A for 73 primary students , group B for 67secondary students, and group C for 52 high school students. Of which, 8 candidates partook in the innovative software contest.

As a result, the first prize in group A belongs to student Thai Trung Nguyen from Tan An 2 primary school (La Gi town) while the firs prize of group B went to Vo An Khang from Hung Vuong secondary school (Phan Thiet city). Student Huynh Thai Tung from Tran Hung Dao gifted high school (Phan Thiet city)  won the first prize of group C. Especially, the first prize of innovative software contest was awarded to student Nguyen Bui Anh Kiet from Nguyen Van Linh high school (Ham Thuan Bac district).

This yearly competition is a useful playground for students of all grades to show their creativeness and exchange with one another in informatics research and applications. Through this contest, the organizing board has discovered potential informatics talents and selected candidates to participate in the 26th national youth informatics contest, which is scheduled to take place in Ca Mau province.
