The 5th round of the IBF heavyweight professional boxing match on September 22 witnessed the collapse of the “Boxing King” - Anthony Joshua, after a hook from an 8-year-old younger opponent - Daniel Dubois.

Before the match, experts assessed: Despite losing to Andy Ruiz and Oleksandr Usýk and losing his titles, Joshua still proved himself to be a perfect boxer, with strength and tenacious fighting spirit. Before the match, Joshua was confident of winning. Joshua’s opponent was Dubois, with a record of 22/23 wins by knockout, he terrified his opponents with his strong and fierce fighting style. This 27-year-old boxer is the current IBF championdetermined to defend his championship belt against Joshua. Boxing fans were expecting an evenly matched match between the two opponents in the most anticipated match of 2024. However, the "King" disappointed hisfans when he was knocked down 3 times before being officially knocked out in the 5th round.

Having dominated since the opening rounds, Dubois completed the defence of his IBF heavyweight belt with a devastating overhand right to Joshua’s chin in the first one. Although Joshua quickly got up, he struggled to withstand the terrible pressure from his opponent until the end of the 2nd round. In the 3rd round, before the ending bell rang, another series of shots sent Joshua down for a second time, but he still held on through the 4th round. In the first minutes of the 5th round, Joshua began what would have been an unlikely comeback as Dubois started to tire. However, a powerful counter-attacking right hook from Dubois caused the British boxer to be officially knocked out this time.
