Seminar on sustainable development of marine economy

 The event had the attendance of Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung- Secretary of the provincial Party Committee of  Binh Thuan province, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Doan Minh Huan-Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Review cum member of the Central Theoretical Council of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, representative leaders/managers of central agencies, scientists and experts. Mr. Huynh Thanh Canh-standing deputy secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hai-Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, leaders of departments/branches/agencies represented Binh Thuan to take part in the seminar, which is considered as a forum to seek solutions to concretize  Resolution No.36-NQ/TW dated on October 22,2018 of the 12^th Party Central Committee on “The strategy for the sustainable development of Vietnam’s marine economy by 2030, with a vision until 2045”.

During the seminar, delegates discussed the following major issues: an overview of current situation of sustainable marine economic development on the basis of comparative advantages of Vietnam in general, and of provinces/city in the central coastal region and the south of Vietnam in particular; analyzing, identifying and clarifying shortcomings, insufficience in the process of implementing strategy on marine economy development in the central coastal region and the south of Vietnam over the past time, with objective and subjective reasons, thereby, highlighting problems that need to be addressed; sugestions and petitions to the Party, State and leaders of provinces/city in the central coastal and southern regions in particular and the whole country in general for basic solutions for the implementation of strategy for sustainable development of marine economy basing on comparative advantages.

On that occasion, the organization board presented VND 150 million to Tanh Linh high School and VND 50 million to Ham Thuan Bac high school.
