Seminar highlighting “55 years of  Vietnam-Laos traditional friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation”

The event, co-organized by the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (Vietnam), Lao National Academy of Politics and Public Administration, Lao National Academy of Social Sciences (Laos), converged many high-ranking scholars and experts from the institutions mentioned above. Representatives of Binh Thuan province included Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung-member of the Central Party Committee-Secretary of the provincial Party Committee cum chairman of the provincial People’s Council, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hai-Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr.Thongsalith Mangnomek-member of the Central Committee of Lao People’s Revolutionary Party-Director of the Lao National Academy of Politics and Public Administration highlighted the importance of the seminar in nurturing the traditional bilateral friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos. In the new trending, the two countries will boost the multilateral cooperation among 4 aforesaid institutions in order to develop and deepen bilateral diplomatic ties in all aspects basing on mutual support and development. Mr.Thongsalith Mangnomek strongly confirmed that the two parties, two states and 4 agencies would reinforce comprehensive cooperation for the interests of the two peoples.

Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Manh Hung shared his happiness when Binh Thuan has been chosen to be accompanied with 4 leading academic organizations of Vietnam and Laos in this seminar. He stressed that, Binh Thuan had its honor to host the first event in the framework of a cooperation agreement between those organizations in 2017, saying that the seminar would be a perfect start for long-running, successful and effective relations between the two countries.  

The seminar’s content consists of 3 sessions: assessment on Vietnam-Laos special friendship and comprehensive cooperation; assessment on the countries’s cooperation in training human resources, theoretical research and social sciences; the orientations and solutions to the development of special friendship, comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
