Provincial leaders hold talks with local youth

 BTO – A meeting between the province’s leaders with youth was organized recently on the occasion of the 88th founding anniversary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931-2019).

Under the theme “Binh Thuan’s youth with the homeland’s development”, the event had the attendance of Secretary of the provincial Paerty Committee Nguyen Manh Hung, deputy Secretary of the provincial party Committee Duong Van An, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Hoa, along with representative leaders of departments, branches, agencies, organizations. Over 300 youth union comrades and members from Phan Thiet city representing thousands of youth union members across the province joined this event, which was connected with 500  youth union members from other localities.

At the meeting, youth representatives openly shared their ideas and views about issues relating to sustainable development of tourism, as well as the development of  hi-tech agriculture development, clean energy and human resources in the fourth industrial revolution. Many questions were raised focusing on the provincial authorities’ policies in developing tourism sustainably, dealing with problems that tourism sector is facing (trash on beaches of Ham Tien, lack of public roads to the beaches in Mui Ne…). Youth also asked about preferential programs of the locality for investment attraction, especially in industrial parks; technical and financial  supports for rural youth to develop hi-tech agriculture; how to train high-quality human resources.

The majority of petitions and questions were answered and cleared up by leaders and representative leaders of  departments/agencies. Along with questions, many youngsters also proposed a number of solutions to boost the sustainable development of tourism industry and minimize environmental pollution.

On behalf of the province’s leaders, Secretary Nguyen Manh Hung highly appreciated the determination and eagerness of local youth in contributing to building and developing the homeland. He stressed that the dialogue would create a significant premise for the socioeconomic development of Binh Thuan province. He encouraged the youth to maintain their enthusiasm, use their minds and hearts to develop the homeland more and more prosperous.
