Accordingly, the festival is scheduled for August 18-20 (3 days) or the 21st, 22nd and 23rd day of the lunar July, with two parts. The rituals will be held in the first two days in Phu Long townlet (Ham Thuan Bac district) and a number of locations in Phan Thiet city. The Nghinh Ong Quang Thanh De xuat quan” parade, which is considered as the most expected event, will take place from 5.AM on August 20, with thousands of people joining a parade and masquerade of traditional customes of the Chinese people. This year’s festival attracts the participation of many traditional performance groups, such as: Quan De Mieu, phuoc Kien, Quang Dong, Trieu Chau, Hai Nam, and Thanh Long lion dance troupe.

Reportedly, the previous festival (in 2020) was suspended due to the Covid-19 outbreaks. This traditional festival is one of specific cultural events, which are regularly organized in Phan Thiet city to promote the image of a friendly city for tourism development.
