2019 Thay Thim cultural-tourism festival begins

BTO – On October 12th Evening, a series of traditional rituals and cultural activities took place at Thay Thim Palace (Tan Tien commune, La Gi district). This year’s festival takes place from October 12-14th, with a wide ranges of special activities, including: Welcoming Deities, the processions of Royal Decrees and Heritage recognition, incense-offering, rite of “nhap dien an vi” (Funeral rite), cake-making, net-weaving, tug of war, lion dance performing, ancestors-worshipping, etc.

Throngs of visitors and pilgrims flocked to the Thay Thim Palace from the very early morning of October 12th to join the procession of Royal Decrees and Recognition of Relics rites.

According to the Organizers, from the early September, the festival has lured a great number of visitors to pray for well-off and peaceful and happy lives. To ensure the security and order safety, the organizers has laid a community space for distance-visitors to take a rest and have a good time when visiting the festival.

The event is expected to attract over 300,000 visitors visiting La Gi Town for pilgrim in combination with sightseeing around the locality.
