Bau Trang is actually a group of two freshwater lakes located 62 kilometers the Southeast from Phan Thiet city and divided by a wide-stretch sand dune, so they are often called “Bau Ong” and Bau Ba” by the locals. This sited formerly belonged to Binh Nhon commune-Hoa Da district.
With extremely pure and fresh water, Bau Trang looks like a large blue pool nearby white sand dunes. Long time ago, many villages of the Cham community had lived and used the fresh water source here. The recognition of national landscape is expected to contribute to promoting tourism potential and advantages of this tourist site, creating additional tourism products to attracted domestic and foreign visitors.
