Accordingly, big and small lanterns will be designed appropriate to this theme, which aims to praise the Party and our beloved Uncle Ho; introduce specific images of Phan Thiet city to promote local tourism, seafood, dragon fruit; and extend messages on environmental protection.
About 31 big lanterns and over 100 small ones along with hundreds of students from the city’s primary and secondary schools will take parade along the streets in Phan Thiet downtown following the route from Nguyen Tat Thanh Square-Ton Duc Thang Avenue-Thu Khoa Huan street-Tran Hung Dao Street- Nguyen Du street.
Lantern parade on mid-autumn is a traditional cultural activity which is organized annually in Phan Thiet city with the purpose of bringing local children a wholesome playground on the beginning of the new school year. This event, which has been recognized as the largest mid-autumn lantern parade in Vietnam, is also a special tourim product as it has been listed among Binh Thuan’s 6 traditional cultural festivals for tourism development.
