The arts programme at the opening ceremony left a deep impression on the audience with numerous unique performances by famous singers, as well as reports on the preparations for the festival.
This year’s event brings together 140 television units with nearly 500 works competing for prizes in nine categories, including children's programmes, documentaries, reports, science and education, talk shows and dialogue, ethnic minority language programmes, musical programmes, stage and television movies.
The entries reflect the country’s political, economic, cultural and social achievements over the past few years, as well as honouring the exemplary models during the process of the country’s socio-economic development.
On the occasion, seminars themed ‘Education in association with entertainment’ and ‘Communication on tourism on television’, as well as a presentation on ‘development trend of the television and internet in the world’ will be held, attracting the participation of both domestic and international experts.
The National Television Festival is held annually to seek and honour outstanding works for television in 2016.
