Representative leader of the department of Culture-Sports and Tourism awarded certificate of provincial historical-cultural relic to the management board of Van Tan Phu at the ceremony held by La Gi town on Thursday morning.
Reportedly, Van Tan Phu, founded in late 19th century, worships Nam Hai deity. The temple, where has long time been a worshipping site of the local fishermen’s spiritual belief and culture, contains a lot of historical and cultural values in association with the formation and development of La Gi land.
It is essential to combine joint efforts of the management board, the local authorities and the community in the protection, management and promotion the value of the relic so that it can become an attractive destination, fostering the tourism development of La Gi town and meeting the locals’ cultural and spiritual needs.
