Thay Thim Temple Festival highlights 20 years of national historical cultural relic recognition

BTO – The 2017 cultural tourism festival at the Thay Thim Temple (Tan Tien commune- La Gi town Binh Thuan province)  is to commence in early November to celebrate 20 years since the temple was recognized as a national historical-cultural relic.

The festival, which is annually held by People’s Committee of La Gi town, is scheduled to take place from November 2-4, 2017 (or 14th-16th days of the Lunar September) . The three-day festival includes the performances of traditional rites and cultural events imbued with folk culture to commemorate and worship the ancestors, such as: the rite of “Nghinh than (welcoming the Gods), the procession of the Degree and Certificate of Recognition (for national historical-cultural relic), offering incense, rite of “nhap dien an vi”, “cung ngo”, “thi thuc phat loc”, “thinh sanh”, worship of the ancestors… During the event,there will be sports games, lion dances , as well as art shows performed by artists from Ho Chi Minh city to serve for visitors and pilgrims.

Earlier in October 29, a fell running race was held as a start-up to welcoming the festival.
