The event had the attendance of deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Duong Van An, leaders of provincial bodies, students, cadres, people’s armed forces and numerous residents of La Gi town. Items on display at the exhibition include documents issued by many feudal dynasties of Vietnam from the 17th century to the early 20th century; a collection of 95 old maps and 4 at laschosen from 260 maps and world atlas proving Vietnamese ownership of Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos; 102 documents published in the Western countries between the 18th and 19th centuries along with photos featuring Truong Sa and Hoang Sa islands during the French domination period and before the liberation day; images of work and daily life of people and soldiers in Truong Sa island district (Khanh Hoa province); and research work of Vietnamese and international scholars published domestically and internationally. All objects in showcase have provided important legal evidence for cadres and people in the locality to enhance awareness of national sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa Archipelagos, contributing to promoting the patriotism, solidarity and responsibility for defending national sovereignty over sea and islands among people from all walks of life, especially the young generations.
