Outstanding coach, athletes in SEA Games 30 honored

The conference had the attendance of Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung-Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Mr. Ho Trung Phuoc-head of the provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Education and Propaganda, Mr. Le Tuan Phong-vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee

Vietnam finished the 30^th SEA Games (took place from November 30 to December 10, 2019) in the Philippines, with the second place (behind the host), the best result of the country at the Games since 2003. This year’s event saw the great number of athletes from Binh Thuan (4 athletes), and all of them successfully completed the targets for the nation sporting delegation. In particular, sisters Nguyen Thi Le Kim and Nguyen Thi Kim Ha contributed 1 gold and 1 bronze medals to the national Taekwondo squad while Judo artist Nguyen Tan Cong brought home 2 silver medals. Canoeing racer Phan Ngoc Sang showed good performance with a bronze medal.

Speaking at the event, vice Chairman Le Tuan Phong highly appreciated outstanding achievements of local athletes at this regional sporting tournament. He asked department of Culture-Sports and Tourism to work with functional bodies and localities to build the project to develop high performance of Binh Thuan province towards 2030.

On that occasion, the provincial People’s Committee presented certificates of merit to 4 athletes and taekwondo coach Nguyen Quoc Hung to recognized their efforts and excellent achievements in the past year.
