Vietnam F1 Futures: Vietnamese pair through to men’s doubles final

Vietnam’s Le Quoc Khanh and Ly Hoang Nam defeated their Indian counterparts to reach the men’s doubles final of the Vietnam F1 Futures tennis tournament, which is being held in Thua Thien-Hue province.

Displaying their fine form and effective cooperation, Khanh and Nam produced a brilliant performance and overpowered Niki Kaliyanda Poonacha - Abhinav Sajeev Shanmugam 6-4 and 6-2 on May 3.

The Vietnamese pair will face the winners of the other semi-final clash between Justin Barki (India)-Soichiro Moritani (Japan) vs Hong Kong’s Chun Hun Wong-Park Long Yeung in the final scheduled for May 5.

Meanwhile, in the men’s singles, Ly Hoang Nam, Vietnam’s top tennis player with an ATP ranking of 461, will encounter Japan’s Kazuki Nishiwaki, who is currently ranked number 998, in a quarterfinal on May 4.
