2017 Phan Thiet open cycling race in celebration of Phan Thiet liberation

BTO – In celebration of 42nd years of Phan Thiet-Binh Thuan liberation (April 19th, 1975-2017), 117 cyclers from Phan Thiet city, Tanh Linh, Duc Linh, La Gi, Lien Huong – Tuy Phong, Ba Ria, Nha Trang, Xuan Loc, Long Khanh, Da Lat, Duc Trong, Di Linh competed in the 2nd 2017 Phan Thiet Open Cycling Race on April 16th.

Cyclers competed in 4 groups of ages ranging from 18-35, 36-44, 45-59 and over 60 with a distance of 55 km around the major streets of Phan Thiet city to the roundabout of Mui Ne sand-hill. Despite stunning sunshine, strong winds and high steeps, the race took place drastically and excitingly.

As a result, Tran Van Du (from Tan Hoang Quan team - Phan Thiet city) came first, followed by Le Quang Truc (from Tam Da team – Phan Thiet city) and Le Van Tai (from Ki Coffee Ba Ria) in the age group of 18-35.

The 2017 Phan Thiet open cycling race is within the framework of the city’s 5^th Sporting Events in 2017.
