The event, organized by the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) on the Greek Island of Rhodes, has brought together 564 athletes from 26 countries. The participating taekwondo athletes had to competed in 26 categories, offering the greatest spectacle to the attendees of the event and a whole new experience to taekwondo fans.
The competition looks to expand the martial art from an indoor-only sport to one that can be enjoyed in any environment.
As a result, Vietnam’s taekwondo team won 3 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze medals, bringing hopeful signal for Vietnam’s Taekwondo in its first participation.
