Senior Lieutenant General Tran Don, member of the CPC cum Deputy Ministry of National Defense attended the ceremony held at Phan Thiet city. The event was also attended by Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Manh Hung .
This year’s see-off ceremony, Binh Thuan has tally 1,301 newly-recruits, who will be sent off to many units including: Artillery Infantry, Navy Army (Region 4), Border Guard Command; Units of Military Region 7: Infantry Division 302, Infantry Division 5, Infantry Brigade 25, National Shooting Range KV 3, Air Defense 77, Military Command of Binh Thuan Province.
Remarkably, the only 01 female newly-recruit in Ham Thuan Nam district will be assigned to Military Region 7. The Phu Quy island district also contributed 40 recruits to the army for national defense.
Besides, there are more than 100 youth will serve the police force. This year’s sending-off ceremony saw the better quality of recruits as 150 youths have earned senior secondary, college and university degrees. Nearly 400 youth voluntarily joined the army.
