Foreign Minister values foreign diplomatic missions’ support for Vietnam

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh has highly appreciated the valuable support from international friends, diplomatic missions and international organisations towards Vietnam’s development over the past few years.

Speaking at the ministry’s New Year get-together with ambassadors, representatives of foreign diplomatic missions and international organisations in Vietnam, in Hanoi on January 31, Deputy PM Minh extended his best wishes for a happy New Year to the guests.

He also briefed the guests on Vietnam’s remarkable achievements in socio-economic development, and the diplomacy sector in particular, in 2017, as Vietnam successfully hosted the APEC Year and actively contributed to the building of a united and strong ASEAN community.

On behalf of the international guests, Venezuelan Ambassador to Vietnam Jorge Rondon Uzcategui congratulated Vietnam for the country’s significant achievements.

He also expressed his commitment to continue working with the Vietnamese Government and people in boosting national development, and strengthening the friendship and long-term cooperation between Vietnam and foreign countries.
