Students in voluntary campaign to help people in outlying areas

BTO –As many as 50 students of Phan Thiet University lately made a trip to the mountainous commune of Phong Phu –Tuy Phong district to carry out social activities in favour of local residents.

In many small groups, they actively helped people build 200 meters of rural roads, plant 100 green trees in the campus of temples and towers, put drainage system in residential areas, make a barrier for Phong Phu primary school. Especially, young students joined hands in helping people  surmount the aftermath of flood in La Ba hamlet such as cleaning the roads, repairing houses, and so on. On that occasion, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union branch of Phan Thiet University inaugurated its youth work, a house worth VND 30 million as a gift for a student with difficult circumstances. At the same time, they also presented 50 Mid-Autumn gifts and 50 lanterns to students in Phong Phu primary school. The total value of the gifts above was donated and mobilized by school’s students.
