Lively festival
The National Great Unity Day in Village 3, Gia An commune (Tanh Linh district) took place in a joyful and lively atmosphere with many rich and diverse activities, further enhancing the solidarity in the residential community. During the ceremony, delegates and people reviewed the 94-year history of the establishment and growth of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2024) and evaluated the implementation of patriotic emulation movements and campaigns in the locality; the key campaign was "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas". As a result, the whole village had 420/431 households achieving the title of "Cultural Family", reaching 97.3%; 100% of households had electricity; 100% of households used clean water. In addition, people in the village actively participated in contributing to local funds to meet and exceed the assigned targets; solidarity to help each other develop the economy, eliminate hunger, reduce poverty, and maintain political security, social order and safety...
On this occasion, the district leaders hope that the villagers will enhance the spirit of solidarity, positively participate in campaigns and patriotic emulation movements launched by the locality, and take better care of the lives of the poor, the disadvantaged, and vulnerable people, etc.
In Binh Tien Village, Phan Hiep Commune (Bac Binh District), the National Great Unity Day was fully organized with two contents. The ceremony was organized briefly, focusing on evaluating the Campaign: "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas." Notably, the people in the village donated to "Fund for the Poor" and "Fund of Gratitude" to meet the set targets and mobilize people to carry out movements such as security lighting, concrete rural roads, intra-field traffic, and canals with the contribution of VND 83 million. The whole Binh Tien village currently has seven poor households, 21 near-poor households, and three clans; 522/538 households have achieved the title of Cultural Family, reaching 97%, 2/2 have achieved the title of Cultural Clan, 4/4 of Education Clans. Along with the ceremony, traditional cultural activities, folk games, and performing arts also took place enthusiastically, loving presents were also given to households with difficulties or scholarships to support and encourage poor students to go to school. All of these created a truly complete, practical, and meaningful National Great Unity Day.
Festivals simultaneously take place
According to the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), the 2024 National Great Unity Day will take place for at least one day between November 10th and November 18th, 2024. In particular, the focus will be on launching and deploying activities simultaneously on Saturdays and Sundays from November 12th, 2024, to November 17th, 2024.
The content will promote the history and glorious traditions of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the cause of national liberation, national unification, building and defending the Fatherland; promote propaganda on the implementation of the Resolution of the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels for the term 2024 - 2029; results of the implementation of the content of the campaign, patriotic emulation movements chaired and coordinated by the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels, focusing on the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas."
The festival program takes place in 2 categories - the ceremony and the festival. The ceremony includes contents such as a summary report on the results of the implementation of the building the Great Unity bloc task; results of economic, cultural, and social development; results of the implementation of the campaign, patriotic emulation movements of the locality; exchanges and discussions of the people, etc.
The festival part organizes cultural, physical education, and sports activities, traditional folk games of the locality, and community cultural activities focusing on promoting the traditional cultural features of the nation and the locality; various forms of competitions and performances promoting people's initiatives to participate in building and developing the traditional culture of the locality; a “Solidarity Meal” depending on the actual conditions of the locality. All of these help the festival become more formal and bustling with the participants of the leaders of the province, district, commune, and the people.
In particular, before, during, and after the festival, many practical activities for the poor are organized, such as coordinating the mobilization, organizing activities to visit and give gifts to policy families, poor households, and disadvantaged households, and awarding scholarships to poor students in the locality... At the provincial level, 220 gifts will be presented to the poor, disadvantaged, lonely elderly, and victims of Agent Orange at the festival. Along with that, localities coordinate to mobilize organizations, businesses, and individuals to contribute to the construction and handover of great unity houses, welfare works, and public works in the community on the occasion of the festival. At the same time, mobilize people to simultaneously build "Bright - green - clean - beautiful" residential areas, launch or implement activities to maintain security and order in the area, establish self-management models for environmental protection, self-management models for security and order in residential areas...
