Phan Thiet’s peak-season travel is usually marked by tours on the occasion of April 30^th and May 1^st holidays. At the present, all tourism activities in preparation for the summer peak-season have been already ready to offer tourists a perfect and significant holiday since earlier. Although there are more than twenty days countdown to the Liberation of South Vietnam Day (April 30^th) and International Labor Day (May 1^st), a number of tourists from Ho Chi Minh city and Southeast provinces have already booked tours to Ham Tien – Mui Ne for their long-stay vacation. Meanwhile, other community tourist areas in Hon Rom also reach a 60-70% capacity of reserved room at late April.

“To ensure better services and good impression for guests on peak-travel days, we are preparing everything carefully. Particularly, prices of rent rooms and refreshment and entertainment services are publicly posted on websites to ease access and reservation for visitors” – said Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh – head of Hon Rom 1 Protocol department. Generally speaking, the listed prices are reasonable with a little rise from 5-10% compared to usual days.  Otherwise, on visitors’ account, the management board of Ham Tien – Mui tourist area in cooperation with the local authorities try their utmost to propagandize and handle with all cases of overcharging visitors for services of accommodation and food, creating visitors’ trust during their vacation in the province.

This year, the April 30^th and May 1^st holidays will fall on Wednesday and Thursday, so the total days off will last up to 5 days including the weekend. Due to long-lasting holidays, the local tourism industry has planned various entertainment activities to attend to tourists. Regarding Hon Rom community outdoor tourist area, many outlets and stores are preparing favorite sports apparatus for rent such as canoeing, windsurfing, kite surfing, etc.

At the same time, all search and rescue works are strengthened 24 hours a day. Peddled wares are arranged orderly to spare space for outdoor games in groups. In addition, food safety and hygiene for tourists received special attention from the management board; therefore, seafood sources are always fresh and redundant in both number and quality.

Summer is great time for travel, especially outdoor activities. Besides Hon Rom, other destinations such as: Ganh, Long Son – Suoi Nuoc and Tien Thanh tourist area also attract crowded visitors. On the contrary, in the heart of the capital resorts of Ham Tien- Mui Ne , there are a lot of available rooms due to the increasing number of international checkout after winter vacation.

The summer travel season 2014 is coming sooner and sooner. Phan Thiet is always an ideal and must-to-visit destination of domestic and foreign visitors thanks to its cool weather, fresh seafood and blue beach hiding under shady coconut trees.
