Prof.Dr.Le Hong Ly - Chairman of the Vietnam Folk Arts Association, awarded the Second Prize A to author Nguyen Tien Dung for his work “Bahnar Epic: The Talented Storm (The Dragon Storm)”.
Prof.Dr.Le Hong Ly - Chairman of the VNDG Vietnam Association shared that: “This year, the Vietnam Folk Arts Association received 81 entries for the awards in 5 fields, covering both research and collection, and introduction.
The preliminary jury selected 60 qualified entries to be submitted to the specialized jury. As a result, the jury unanimously awarded 50 prizes to authors and author groups with valuable research and collection works.
Specifically, there was no First Prize awarded. The association awarded 1 Second Prize A, 2 Second Prize B, 9 Third Prize A, 15 Third Prize B, 14 Encouragement Prizes, and 9 Souvenirs to authors and author groups.
Author Do Thanh Danh - Member of the Binh Thuan Literature and Art Association, received the Third Prize B for his research work “The Art of Making Fish Sauce in Phan Thiet” (in the field of culinary culture, traditional crafts, and folk knowledge). On this occasion, the VNDG Vietnam Association also conferred the title of Folk Artisan to its members and organized celebrations for its elderly members.
