The event is part of a series of activities in response to the Prime Minister’s project to plant 1 billion trees in period 2021-2025”. According to Mr. Phan Nguyen Hoang Tan-chairman of Phan Thiet city People’s Committee, the city’s authorities always considered tree planting as a priority and important work in association with development process of the locality. He stressed that, thanks to support from business community, especially Nova Group, an inspirable message has been disseminated among residents, help them make a good habit of planting and caring trees , as well as protecting the environment, contributing to building up Phan Thiet city as a clean, green and civilized urban area, and an attractive tourist destination.
Right after the ceremony, leaders of people’s Committee and leaders of youth union branch of Phan Thiet city , Brigade 681, officers of people’s committees, front committees and organizations of Tien Loi and Tien Thanh communes, along with leaders and employees of Nova Group joined hands to cultivate many trees along the route of Au Co street (Tien Thanh commune).
Reportedly, this program will plant a total of 950 trees (funded by Nova Group) in Tien Loi and Tien Thanh communes. Authorities of these communes will mobilize local people to join in watering taking care of the trees to help them grow fast.
