The event had the attendance of Mr. Nguyen Tai Anh-EVN’s Deputy General Director, Mr. Le Van Danh-General Director of Power Generation Joint Stock Corporation 3 (EVNGENCO3), Mr. Nguyen Dan-Secretary of Tuy Phong district’s Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Trung Truc-Chairman of Tuy Phong district People’s Committee, and leaders of Vinh Tan commune.
After the ceremony, leaders of EVN, Tuy Phong district, along with officers and employees of Vinh Tan 2 thermal power plant grew many green trees in the campus area of the plant in order to make this area fresher and greener, contributing to preventing dust for a clean environment. Trees planted in this area were selected carefully to ensure that they will grow well in the soil and climate conditions of the locality. Previously, over 18,000 drought-resistant trees and 102,200 m2 of ornamental grass were planted on a 23 hectare- area of Vinh Tan 2 thermal power plant.
According to Mr. Nguyen Tai Anh, the tree-planting festival in Vinh Tan 2 thermal power plant is part of a campaign that EVN launched among its affiliates, with a target of planting and caring for 100,000 trees in 2021 alone, and 1 million trees in period 2021-2025 in accordance to the tree-planting campaign launched by the Prime Minister.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Trung Truc-Chairman of Tuy Phong district People’s Committee highly appreciated EVN and Vinh Tan 2 thermal power plant’s efforts in the implementation of tree-planting movement. He suggested the units to keep on developing planting trees campaign to help the locality create a greener environment the the future.
