Over 9,000 candles lit to pay tribute to Heroic Martyrs on the 48th anniversary of Binh Thuan’s Liberation Day

BTO- To mark 48 years of Binh Thuan Liberation Day (April 19, 1975 - 2023) and the Southern Liberation and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - 2023), Binh Thuan province’s Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) observed a candle-lighting ceremony to pay tribute to heroes and martyrs at the Provincial Martyrs Cemetery.

Attending the event, there were Mr. Nguyen Hoai Anh - Alternate member of the Central Committee of the Party - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Vo Thanh Binh- Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuan Bich - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr.Nguyen Minh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, leader of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and representatives of departments and branches.

Canled-lighting is a meaningful activity to show profound respect and gratitude for heroes and martyrs who greatly contributed to the nation’s safeguarding cause, bringing independence and peace of today to the Motherland. Each youngster has to remember and be proud of the unyielding will of the previous generations who sacrificed their lives for the country.

After the rituals of offering flowers and burning incense on the memorial, as many as 9,000 candles were lit in the night in gratitude for heroes and martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence, freedom, and reunification.

On this occasion, the organizing board awarded 10 scholarships to students with difficult circumstances in the district.
