New Covid-19 restrictions loosen to people from HCMC or elsewhere to Binh Thuan

BTO – The Covid-19 prevention and Control steering committee of Binh Thuan province on October 12th had instruction on guiding people from Ho Chi Minh City or elsewhere returning or visiting Binh Thuan province to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Under the newly issued restrictions, all people must have negative test results for Sars-CoV-2 by Realtime-PCR technique or rapid test within 72 hours before entering Binh Thuan province.

For those returning from Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, and Long An provinces.

People who return from Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, and Long An provinces have already got 2 shots of Covid-19 vaccine or have been recovered from Covid-19 within 6 months (with certificates), can self monitor their health at home for 7 days and have once negative test result with Sars-CoV-2 on the first day of returning. If there are any abnormal signs, such as cough, fever, difficult breathing, sore throat, loss of taste, etc, they must report to the health agency for monitoring and treatment.

For those who have not yet been vaccinated, they can also get quarantined at home for 7 days if their 2-times testing results show negatively on the seventh and fourteenth days from the date of return, and keep self-monitor their health for the next 14 days at home.

For those returning from other provinces/cities

People who return from high-risk cities/provinces have already got 2 shots of Covid-19 vaccine or have been recovered from Covid-19 within 6 months (with certificates), can self monitor their health at home for 7 days, and have twice negative test results with Sars-CoV-2 on the first and seventh day of returning. 

For those who have not yet been vaccinated, they can also get quarantine dat home for 14 days and get regular testing with Sars-CoV-2 every 2-3 days or 5-7 days during 14 days from the date of return, and keep self-monitor their health for the next 14 days at home. In cases of contracting with Sars-CoV-2, they must strictly follow the regulations on Covid-19 preventive measures.

For those who come from higher-risk areas

Basing on epidemiological assessment and the epidemic situation in the areas, the locality can assess and guide the comers to self-monitor, quarantine, and testing if necessary. All of the above cases must always follow the Ministry of Health’s 5K message.
