Minister-Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Affairs Do Van Chien greet Kate festival to Cham community

BTO – On September 23rd afternoon, A delegation led by Minister-Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Affairs Do Van Chien visited and greeted Kate festival to the Cham community in hamlets of Lac Tri and Phu Lac (Tuy Phong district).

Minister Chien offered 60 gifts to the Cham people on the occasion of their special festival, and sent his best wishes to the local dignitaries, priests and the whole community of the Cham Balamon during the Kate festival.

He also expressed his hope that the Cham community would continue to promote their tradition of solidarity, cultural traits, keep healthy lifestyles, and celebrate the Kate festival safely and economically.  At the same time, Minister Chien asked the local authorities to pay regards to the Cham ethnic minority, helping them to poverty reduction.
