According to the hospital’s director, Prof. Dr Trinh Dinh Hai, over the past few years, his facility has continuously improved its medical examination and treatment quality through implementing a series of advanced techniques.
Treatments include microsurgical implant surgeries to restore the injured faces of nearly 500 patients in the past decade, as well as implementing dental implant techniques approaching the level of advanced countries, thereby helping to save costs for patients instead of them going abroad for treatment.
In addition to providing treatment for more than 100,000 patients a year, the hospital also offers free surgery for tens of thousands of children with cleft lips and cleft palates and disadvantaged patients with complicated conditions, as well as effectively implementing the school dental programme.
Doctors at the hospital regularly visit localities to support people in easily accessing conventional dental treatment services.
The hospital is the first to be fully self-financed by the Ministry of Health, since 2009, helping the State to save hundreds of billions each year.
On the occasion, Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh awarded the second and third Labour Order to the hospital’s Director Trinh Dinh Hai and its former Deputy Director Vu Dinh Minh, respectively, in recognition of their significant achievements and contributions to the cause of public healthcare.
Nine physicians at the hospital were honoured with the title of “Excellent Physician” and two others were awarded certificates of merit by the Prime Minister.
