The event, themed “The Light of Faith”, was broadcast live on the VTV1 channel.
Attending the programme, which was held at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel in Hanoi, were Politburo members: Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc; Vice Chairwoman of National Assembly Tong Thi Phong; Secretary of Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC’s Commission for Communication and Education Vo Van Thuong; Deputy PM and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh; Minister of Public Security General To Lam; Secretary of Hanoi Municipal Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai; and many others.
Meanwhile, Politburo members: NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan; Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh; Secretary of the PCC and Head of the PCC’s Commission for Organisation Pham Minh Chinh; and Secretary of the PCC and Head of the PCC’s Commission for Economy Nguyen Van Binh attended the event at Hoang Dieu Port in Hai Phong.
The conference in Con Dao District and Vinh Long Province saw the presence of Politburo member and Permanent member of the Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong; and Politburo member and Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue; among others.
The programme, which was divided into five parts, recalled the formation and development of the CPV as well as the glorious milestones of Vietnamese revolution.
At the event, resilient communist soldiers and Party members who have devoted their lives to the struggle for national independence and working were also honoured at the event.
The programme also conveyed President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings in the cause of Party building, while encouraging all people to study and follow his ideology, morality and lifestyle.
On the occasion, the Party and State leaders presented flowers and souvenirs to outstanding Party Committees and members.
Earlier, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan visited and presented gifts to revolutionary veterans Nguyen Xuan Hoa in Thanh To Ward, Hai An District; and Do The in Nghia Xa Ward, Le Chan District, Hai Phong.
