Letter of protest sent to China Ambassador over East Sea issue

The letter asked China to stop its building of artificial islands, not threatening neighbor countries and Vietnamese fishermen and to drop its demand for nine dotted line territory and act in compliance with international law of the sea.

On April 29, as many as 400 people representing 65,000 Vietnamese in the Czech Republic demonstrated in front of the China Embassy in Prague to send a letter of protest against China’s accelerated militarization in the East Sea.

Duong Dinh Tuy, a demonstration organizer said, “In our message of protest, we made clear Vietnam’s tradition since its national foundation to uphold its national sovereignty and territorial integrity.” 

Chairman of the Czech Vietnamese Association, Marcel Winter, pledged his constant support for Vietnam in its protection of national sovereignty over the East Sea.
