Co Thach beach, an ensemble of multistory rocks, is the earliest place to welcome the sunny season. This year, the green moss season comes as the cold winter does not want to leave while the spring eagerly covers. A not-enough-1-km beach is fully covered by 7-color rocks with green moss and waves crashing on the shore.
Although green moss is not cared, this natural aquatic species appears ubiquitously and loom around the corner of odd-shaped rocks. They were formed by the impact of tide, sea current and seawater since hundreds of years ago. Surrounding the large rocks is yellow and soft sand which is known as “Bai Tien” (Fairy’s beach) where is closely connected with a legend that the beach used to be the fairies’ bathing place in every afternoons.
The encounter between “green moss” and “rocks” is not very long and usually a month and sometimes two months in case of favorable weather. The best moment to behold the most beautiful green moss is a month later since the New Year started. Moss in harmony with Rock creates a wonderful landscape like a paradise. Simply put, visitors and paparazzi from all directions have converged in Co Thach to behold and hunt for the extremely precious moment of the nature. Also, many spousal couples choose the destination for their springtime wedding albums and celebrations.
