Duc Thanh School, directly under the Ho Chi Minh museum – Binh Thuan branch, is situated at No.39 Trung Nhi street, Duc Nghia ward, Phan Thiet city. The school was built in 1907 by two seniors Nguyen Trong Loi and Nguyen Quy Anh. Prior to 1911 (the year he began his journey abroad in search of the way to save the country), teacher Nguyen Tat Thanh, known as President Ho Chi Minh had taught at Duc Thanh School. Since then, the school has gradually become Phan Thiet citizens’ pride.
Through many historical ups and downs, Duc Thanh School was wholly restored in 1976. At the time being, the school keeps a lot of valuable items that has close-knit connection with the period when teacher Nguyen Tat Thanh taught there. On the journey to Duc Thanh School, tourists can visit Ho Chi Minh museum – Binh Thuan branch situated along the gentle Ca Ty river.
