Addressing the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Dung highlighted the province’s advantages and potentials for marine economic, mineral and tourism development. In 2017, Binh Thuan posted a sharp growth rate and its economic transfer is on the right track. Moreover, state budget revenues, especially domestic collection hits over VND 6,000 billion. Remarkably, social environment is in stable status, creating the best ever conditions for investment attraction in areas of tourism.
In the meantime, the infrastructure is paid much care, but it does not meet the demands for current development. The locality is considered as an “interference”, which plays a very vital position for major economic growth of the South and the Central of Vietnam. However, Binh Thuan’s current infrastructures do not satisfy the development trends. In which, the incompletion of Phan Thiet airport has reduced the local investment attraction.
Deputy Prime Minister Dung urged the province’s authorities to review the economic structures for ease of planning. He stressed the planning of titanium exploitation (nearly 100,000 hectares of titanium reserve) should be re-identified. The great volume of ships (nearly 3,000 ones with high capacity) needs to be close monitored by the leaderships, resulting in bumper catch and effective operation.
At the same time, Mr. Dung encouraged Binh Thuan to build a special economic policies, which is conformity with the locality and is not opposed to the law. The enterprises and people can get benefits from such policies. Human resources development, social order and safety are also the focal points mentioned by the Deputy Prime Minister Dung at the working.
