Covid-19 treatment facility to be put into operation in Binh Thuan from March 18

BTO- A delegation from  Ministry of Health, National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology (directly under Ministry of Health), and Binh Thuan provincial department of Health on March 15 made a survey at the would-be treatment center for Covid-19 infected cases in Binh Thuan Hospital for Traditional Medicine & Rehabilitation (HTMR).

The 100-bed- hospital for Covid-19 patient is a building, which has a separate entrance and locates far from other parts of HTMR. This facility has been fully prepared for treatment. Entertaining devices, wireless internet services, accommodations for medical workers, environmental hygine, food storage, waste treatment… are available and ready to welcome them.

On the same day, department of Health issued an express dispatch to ask regional  hospitals and district-level medical centers in the province to sent doctors and nurses to this newly-established  Covid-19 hospital. Each facility must sent at least 1 doctor and 2 nurses working in departments of Medicine, Pediatrics and Infection. With the purpose of ensuring safety and healthy for their relatives, all medical staffs working at this hospital must stay at the spot instead of going home.

The facility is expected to officially open on March 18.
