Q: Binh Thuan tourism is entering the peak travel season of international tourists in 2013. Would you like to indicate a number of advantages, which prove that Binh Thuan in general and Mui Ne in particular are the ideal destinations for winter shelter holiday of foreign visitors, especially those from Russia?
In comparison with other coastal cities in Vietnam like Nha Trang, Da Nang and Vung Tau, Phan Thiet city has favorable weather conditions such as: less rainstorm, mild climate and sunshine all year round. Furthermore, the nice and pristine beaches in Mui Ne lure numerous tourists coming here for recreation and sightseeing. Especially, Phan Thiet is the best place for those who want to escape from the icy winter in Russia. Despite a number of transport limitations, the locality still possesses significant strong points such as: attractive tourism products, stable service price, and so on … to draw a big volume of foreign arrivals.
Q: We know that BTA took part in the 19th International Trade Fair for Tourism-Otdykh 2013 in Moscow (Russia) from September 19-20. So what is the main purpose of Binh Thuan tourism sector in this trip?
A: BTA has attended the Leisure Fair since 2007, but this was the first time Binh Thuan tourism has had an authentic pavilion to introduce and promote the well-known destination of Mui Ne-Phan Thiet, with the active participation of some key resorts in Muine-Ham Tien, namely Muine Bay, Muine De Century Resort, Hoang Ngoc Resort, Thai Hoa Resort, Little Mui Ne Resort, Duparc Phan Thiet Ocean Dunes & Golf Resort. This year’s event gathered many travel agencies and tourism businesses from Russia and other countries. Hence, the images of Mui Ne-Phan Thiet and outstanding tourism products of Binh Thuan attracted much attention of participants.
Q: Would you like to give some details of what local tourism achieved at the fair?
A: The 25-square meter booth of Binh Thuan tourism has made a strong impression at the Leisure Fair 2013, contributed to bringing Mui Ne destination closer to international tourists. During this trip, representatives of BTA had many chances to meet and work with big travel corporations in Russia or their partners in Vietnam such as Anh Duong Travel Company, Focus Travel Company (these companies regularly take international tourists to Vietnam’s destinations, including Mui Ne) to boost the partnership and sign long-term agreements.
Besides, this is an ideal opportunity for Binh Thuan tourism to be in contact with and learn about organization methods of other destinations around the globe, so that local tourism sector can find out their advantages and similarities compared to Mui Ne to define the key customer sources of Binh Thuan. Basing on that, resorts in Binh Thuan province can specify their markets and their objectives, and reinforce the marketing work to increase the number of tourists to Mui Ne.
Especially in this trip, Binh Thuan tourism sector signed a cooperation contract with Vietnam Airlines for a special tourism product package with a preferential price. Videlicet, 100 plane tickets of Vietnam Airlines will be sold at special price to those who travel from Moscow (Russia) to Cam Ranh Airport (Khanh Hoa province) on a certain day of a week. In addition, the aforesaid resorts also offered 60 rooms with special price to visitors who order all-in products. This promotion program is available from October 28, 2013 to March 29, 2014, with a view to attract more and more Russian visitors to Mui Ne for winter vacation and relaxation.
Q: Has BTA planned to take part in trade and tourism fairs in Vietnam and abroad next year?
A: With an aim to further promote the image of Mui Ne, BTA attended four large-scale trade-tourism fairs in 2913, including ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF 2013), VITM Hanoi 2013, ITE HCMC 2013 and Leisure Fair 2013-Moscow (Russia). For the next years, Binh Thuan Tourism Association will maintain its participation in the fairs above. Particularly, local tourism will try to design a greater booth at the fairs to encourage a great number of local travel businesses to join us so that the stimulus program for tourism will bring satisfied fruit.
