Over the past year, many effective solutions have been synchronously implemented to deal with difficulties and obstacles of local enterprise and investors, contributing to strengthening production and expanding markets. Such efforts have brought favorable results, with high growths in industrial production, especially electricity production and distribution. In addition, domestic trade activities have been kept stable to ensure smooth circulation of goods.
In 2019, the operation of Vinh Tan international port has contributed to boosting the transportation of goods between Binh Thuan and other provinces in the region. Therefore, industry and trade sectors have gained remarkable outcomes, as follows: industrial production realized VND 27.618n trillion (according to comparative price of 2010), raising by 16.2% compared with that of the year’s plan and increasing by nearly 20% compared with that of last year. The total revenue of retailing of goods reached over VND 58.246 trillion (up 12% against last year’s figure). Export turnover earned USD 462.22 million (up 6.47%).
The tasks of 2020 for industry and trade activities have been set, with the following targets: industrial production: VND 36.416.7 trillion, retailing and service revenues: VND 62 trillion, export earnings: USD 496.3 million.
Vice chairman Luong Van Hai highly appreciated noteworthy results achieved by local industrial and trade sectors in 2019, saying that the department should better promote its role in resolving difficulties for enterprises and investors to facilitate business and production activities.
On that occasion, many persons and units with outstanding achievements in emulation movements were awarded certificates of merits by the provincial People’s Committee.
