Da Mi and Ham Thuan, located 60 km from Phan Thiet city, are the two vast hydropower reservoirs covered with wild forests and mountains, as well as charming landscapes which are considered as plentiful potential of eco-tourism.
The Planning of Ham Thuan - Da Mi tourism development towards 2010 which was approved in 2004 is no longer in effect. Standing Committee of the provincial Party’s Committee asked provincial People’s Committee to review, revise and complete this planning in accordance with new situation, especially, pay attention to the following requirements: the planning must strictly implement regulations on forest management and protection, environmental protection for Da Mi hydropower reservoir; and the investment form of this planning is eco-tourism.
