Mid-Autumn festival organization, which is part of the province’s joint action plan for the protection, care and education of children in 2017, is considered as one of cultural activities imbued with traditional characteristics of Vietnamese people. Bringing children a funny and cosy full moon festival is the common responsibility of the Party, the State, authorities at all levels, social organizations and all families, creating opportunities for all children to develop equally, especially those in poor households, children with disabilities and orphans.
According the document, leader of the provincial People’s Committee asked department of Labour-Invalids and Social Affairs, people’s committees of districts, city, town to organize community-based activities for children to celebrate a safe and healthy Mid Autumn festival. All activities must be held in accordance with traditional culture with the purpose of educating the young generations about maintaining national characteristics and participating in games or cultural activities that are appropriate to their ages.
People’s committees at district level are asked to set up plans for the localities to raise funds to give Mid-Autumn gifts to children in outlying areas and ethnic minorities areas.
The provincial People’s Committee also asked functional departments and bodies to intensify inspections and supervisions on food hygiene and safety, prevent accidents and injur, ensuring safety for kids to enjoy a full Mid-Autumn festival.
