Binh Thuan to open free-of-charge vaccination campaign against measles and rubella for teenagers

BTO – According to the provincial Center for Preventive Medicine, a province-wide free-of-charge campaign to give vaccinations against measles and rubella for the teenagers will be launched in April 2016 for the purpose of reducing heavy burdens of measles, rubella and incidences of serious complications caused by those diseases.

As scheduled, the whole province has around 43,000 – 45,000 teenagers, aging 16-17, including two groups of students and teenagers in the community (community, for short). The campaign will be carried out in the form of successive method, fro, schools to health stations and hamlets/villages. Group of student will be vaccinated at their schools while the community group will have vaccines at the health centers; for those hamlets far from the health centers, mobile vaccinations will be held later.
