The vaccines, produced by British-Swedish firm AstraZeneca, arrived in Binh Thuan at 3 PM and are preserved in cold storage units in Binh Thuan CDC. As planned, those vaccines will be distributed to 11 vaccination places in 10 districts/city/town, In which, 1,100 vaccine doses will be allocated to Phan Thiet city, the largest number. All vaccine doses will be administered to priority groups under the Resolution No.21 of the Government.
According to Doctor. Vo Van Hanh- deputy director of Binh Thuan CDC, Binh Thuan and the neighboring province of Ninh Thuan are the last provinces in the central region receiving Covid-19 vaccines handed over by Nha Trang Pasteur Institute. The vaccines are kept in a cold environment with a temperature between 2 to 8 degrees Celsius during transportation and preservation.
It is known that Binh Thuan CDC will help the provincial Police and Border Guard Station receive and store another 1,250 vaccine doses in the last week of April.
