Binh Thuan was one of the fiercest battlegrounds during 2 long-term severe resistant wars. Heroic soldiers, revolutionaries from Binh Thuan and many parts of the country fought with fortitude to liberate our fatherland, and many of them laid down their lives in the locality. The province’s leaders and delegates respectfully memorized and paid tribute to the fallen heroes. Over the past years, executive committees of party hierarchy, authorities at all levels, organizations and armed forces in Binh Thuan province have paid special attention to the work of search and collection of martyrs’ remains. As of 2017, more than 9,000 sets of martyrs’ remains have been identified and reburied at the provincial cemetery while another 1,000 ones have not been found.
