Over the past three months of this year, 449 dengue cases and 46 hand-foot-mouth disease have been recorded in the province while no case of Zika virus infection reported so far. Besides, other infectious diseases have been controlled, safety for vaccination work has been ensured, and there have been no cases of food poisoning. Binh Thuan General Hospital is a satellite hospital specializing in cardiology of Cho Ray Hospital under the approval of Ministry of Health (period 2016-2020).
Addressing at a meeting with local health authorities, Thanh Tam asked the whole sector to concentrate all resources for Binh Thuan General Hospital on implementing hospital satellite project. He suggested Department of Health to work with Department of Home Affairs in setting up suitable roadmap for the mergence of district-level medical centers. Health care sector must ensure health insurance transfer, pay attention to dealing with complaints and denouncement of medical personnel and patients. It’s necessary to establish a financial fund in support of misfortune patients. Hospitals should install automatic doors, automatic-lock doors and surveillance cameras in emergency rooms and coordinate with functional units to prevent scuffle and dangerous circumstances. Vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee also directed local health department to step up disease prevention in drought-hit areas and intensify food safety control.
