Binh Thuan begins new school year 2017-2018

BTO- Together with millions of students across Vietnam, nearly 280.500 students at all grades across the province attended a national back-to-school festival on September 5th.

September 5 is national back-to-school festival when most of schools hold an opening ceremony to officially commence their academic year. Generally, this year’s opening ceremonies are shorten within more than 30 minutes with simple ceremonies.

On Phu Quy island district, nearly 700 students of Ngo Quyen high school, a sole high school on the province’s outpot island, has made great contribution to intellectual improvement and human training over the past 17 years.

This year, Binh Thuan saw an appropriate of 55,000 students attending kindergartens, 110,900 students attending elementary schools, 80,500 attending secondary school and 34,000 attending high school.

Sharing the joy of entering new school year with both teachers and students, leaders of Binh Thuan province joined the opening ceremonies at some schools. At the visited spots, the provincial leaders asked the schools to continue upholding the tradition to improve the quality of management, teaching and studying in the near future.

Vice chairman of Binh Thuan provincial People’s committee Luong Van Hai highly valued the achievements of Tran Hung Dao gifted high school in the last academic year as he visited the school on Tuesday morning. In the meantime, Deputy secretary of Binh Thuan party committee Duong Van An also participated a celebration of the new school year at Ly Thuong Kiet high school in LaGi town.
