The collective of Binh Thuan health sector has made every effort to serve for public health, follow the Uncle’s moral sample and always improve their specialist knowledge and technical skills to meet the increasing demands of patients and advanced technology all over the world. Recognized the above effort, the State President has conferred 18 titles of elite physicians for their great contribution to the cause of public healthcare.
As the first 6-month reported by the Department of Health, all missions for medical checkups and treatment have been fully completed and even outdone against that of the same period last year. Of these, the total volume of checkups posted a year-on-year increase of 5 percent. Whereas, the number of inpatients grew by 2 percent. On the other hand, the management and supervision and administrative reforms have been strengthened.
Addressing the event, Vice chairman Nguyen Duc Hoa appraised the achievement of the whole staffing of the Heath department over the past years, stressing that the health sector should boost the following tasks: popularizing the policies and laws on health insurance, expanding the coverage of health insurance among the community with at least 75 percent by late 2017.
Along with that, Mr. Hoa suggested the health sector must pay much attention to focal missions, such as: preventing and fighting against diseases; completing the population and health national target program; providing further education for the health staff; enhancing the quality of medical checkups and treatment; well managing and using medical facilities at units and so forth.
