Activities in celebration of 22 years of Binh Thuan Tourism Day

1.Workshop to assess, preserve and promote values of typical festivals to groom tourism development.

-Time: At 2:00 PM on September 21^st, 2017.

-Venue: Ca Ty Hotel, No.40 Phan Boi Chau street, Phan Thiet city.

2.Phan Thiet Mid-autumn Festival 2017

-Time: starting at 4:00PM on 2 October 2017 (on August 13^th in Lunar Calendar)

-Venues: Nguyen Tat Thanh square and some main streets of Phan Thiet city

- Routes: Nguyen Tat Thanh square – turning right at Ton Đuc Thang avenue - turning left at Thu Khoa Huan street- turning left at Tran Hung Dao – passing through Tran Hung Đao bridge - Nguyen Du street.
3. Cham Kate festival

- Time: From 19 – 20 October 2017
- Venue: Po Sah Inu cham tower, Phu Hai ward, Phan Thiet city.

- Participants: the Cham community across Binh Thuan province.

- Scale: traditional rituals and folk games, art shows.

4. Food Fair

- Time: Opening at 4:00PM on October 20^th and closing at 10:00PM on October 24^th.

- Venue: Nguyen Tat Thanh square, Phan Thiet city.

- Attendees: It is expected to have the participation of enterprises from Lam Dong, Ho Chi Minh city, Ninh Thuan, Khanh Hoa, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Dong Nai and local restaurants.

- Scale: From 20 to 25 food stalls
- Content: there would be 3 food groups: Vietnamese traditional food and drink, street food, Asian-European food styles.

5. Launching ceremony of “Green Tourism Week”

Time: From October 18-24, 2017; the launching ceremony is at 7:00 on October 21^st with environmental clean-up activities at Doi Duong park or Nguyen Tat Thanh square, Phan Thiet city.

- Form: The parade will move on the main streets of Phan Thiet city for the purpose of propaganda on environmental preservation.   

6. Ceremony in praise of individuals, organizations who made contribution to Binh Thuan tourism 2017.

Time: At 8:00 PM on October 21^st, 2017 with a live broadcast on television.

Venue: Provincial Convention Center (Hai Thuong Lang Ong street, Phan Thiet city).

Content: Reviewing tradition and art performance, honoring typical individuals and organizations for the province’s tourism sector.

7. Open Singing contest 2017 (for the Tourism sector)

- Time: from October 22 to 24, 2017.

- Venue: Nguyen Tat Thanh square, Phan Thiet city.

- Attendees: staffing of hotels, resorts, services enterprises, travel businesses; cadres of the Culture-Sports and Tourism department.

8. Sporting events

* National Club’s Taekwondo Championship Tournament 2017

-Time: From September 25 to October 2^nd 2017.

-Venues: Binh Thuan general Gymnasium.

* U19 Football match of the South East Region

- Time: From October 15^th – 22^nd, 2017.

- Venue: Phan Thiet stadium (Hai Thuong Lan Ong street).

* Traditional Boat race and coracle shaking on Ca Ty river (expected)

- Time: From October 20-22, 2017.

- Venue: Binh Thuan general Gymnasium.

* Open Tennis and Golf Tournaments 2017.

- Time: From October 20 – 24, 2017 (expected)

- Venue: Phan Thiet city

9. Cham cultural display center in Bac Binh district.

- Time: On October 21, 2017.

- Venue: Cham Cultural Exhibition Center (Phan Hiep commune, Bac Binh district).

- Content: displaying specimens, Cham folk culture contest, concert, ginger-shaped cake making, traditional rituals, etc.
