As a results, as many as 97 blood units were donated to serve for emergency aid and treatment at medical establishments.
On April 7th, 2000, the Government Prime Minister issued Decision No.43/2000/QD-TTg on mobilizing and encouraging people to voluntarily donate their blood and take the 7th day of April every year as “The entire people voluntarily donate blood” Day.
This is become an annual campaign to raise awareness of people about the purpose and humane significance of the action “donating blood to save people in need of blood”, therefore encourage many people to voluntarily give their blood to save the others.
