500 national flags and 100 lifebuoys granted to fishermen in Phan Thiet

BTO – The Thanh Hai Border Guard, Naval Region 2 and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development have spread information about Laws to dozens of fishermen and crews of 20 fishing vessels anchoring at Phan Thiet port on September 16th.

The border guards have visited all fishing vessels, encouraged the crews to continue working at high sea, while offering 500 national flags and 100 lifebuoys to the fishermen before their off-shore fishing journeys.

This is part of the mass mobilization program with the aim of raising the fishermen’s awareness of the importance of seas and islands, as well as mission of protecting the country’s sovereignty over seas and islands.
