The biennial exhibition is co-hosted by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and the Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to review and honour creativity and photographic achievements in Vietnam over the past two years.
Taking place until November 8, the exhibition will display 245 entries by 192 artists from 47 cities and provinces across the country, including 43 entries focussing on the topic of ‘Ha Long – Quang Ninh – A new angle of view’.
The exhibits were selected from around 10,190 single photos and photo collections sent to the organising board since the launch in May 2018.
Two gold medals went to Tran Nhan Quyen from Hanoi and Huynh Van Truyen from Da Nang city for their works named ‘Le Hoi Cau Nuoc’ (Water Praying Festival) and ‘Ha Long Nhin Tu Tren Cao’ (A View of Ha Long from Above), respectively.
Four silver, six bronze medals and 10 consolation prizes will also be presented to other outstanding contestants on the occasion.
