The Thien Khanh communal house, positioned in quarter 2 - Ham Tien ward - Phan Thiet city, is a place to worship gods, ancestors who founded the village, commune. It is believed that the gods have protected and brought peace and prosperity to all most all of the villagers.
During the three-day event, the locals keep visiting and offering incense to the gods in the temple. The entire budget for holding, maintaining the festival, and restoring the temple is from public donations.
The Ky Yen festival, which takes place every 3 years, covers many rituals and ceremonies luring a great number of visitors and locals. Each time the festival triggers, villagers have opportunity to gather for recreation and relaxation. It is now known as a unique culture of the coastal area of Ham Tien – Phan Thiet.
